Cassandra Goforth 32 and her son Garner Dewayne Goforth 4, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 after a tragic car accident in Brookland. She was born November 1, 1988 in Jonesboro. He was born March 15, 2017 in Jonesboro. Cassandra and Garner were always together and loved each other dearly. They often did crafts together and he loved to cuddle with his mother. Cassandra was a graduate from Jonesboro High School and was working for ARcare. Garner was attending Kidz R Us daycare in Brookland. Cassandra also enjoyed flea markets, garage sales and any good deals she could find. Garner enjoyed cars, marbles and Super Mario Brothers.
Cassandra and Garner were preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and his great grandparents, Doyle and Doris Weaver; her paternal grandfather and his great grandfather, George Willbanks.
Survivors include Cassandras significant other and Garners father, Gerald Goforth of Jonesboro; her parents, his maternal grandparents, Kelvin Willbanks of Walnut Ridge and Jane Willbanks of Jonesboro; his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Angela Goforth of Trumann; Garners brother, Gavyn Goforth of Jonesboro; Cassandras paternal grandmother, Garners great grandmother, Margery Willbanks of Walnut Ridge; Cassandras brother, his uncle, Christopher Willbanks of Jonesboro; her niece, Hannah Willbanks of Jonesboro, among many other family and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Marty Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
