Carroll D. Anderson

January 10, 1942 — August 3, 2020

Carroll D. Anderson, 78, of Jonesboro, formerly of Trumann passed from this life Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born to the late Garland and Maxine Anderson on January 10, 1942 in Brookland. He started his career as a loan officer at Commercial Credit from 1974 until 1984 Carroll left Jonesboro in 1975 and came back in 1984 when he briefly worked for Home Federal until 1986. He then started working at the Bank of Trumann where he was on the Board of Directors and served as the Vice President and loan officer from 1986 until 2007 when he retired. Carroll was a long time member of First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Lions Club. Carroll was an avid sports fan, especially football and he enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his parents, Carroll is preceded in death by his sister, Jenanne Martin.

Carroll is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma Anderson, of the home; two daughters, Dana (Randy) Watkins and Nancy (Ted) Vowell both of Jonesboro; two brothers, James “Andy” (Barbara) Anderson of Jonesboro and Dewayne (Diane) Anderson of Eades, TN; and two grandchildren, Emily (Michael) Brown and Christopher Burchell.

A memorial service will be at 10 am Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with Reverend John Miles officiating. Burial will be private.
