Carolyn Ann Wise

Carolyn Wise, 78, a lifetime resident of Jonesboro, died Sunday, February 14, 2021 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.  She was of the Baptist belief.  She retired from Wyatt’s Cafeteria after thirty years.  Even in retirement, she still loved to cook and enjoyed helping the elderly.  She was referred to as Maw Maw by friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wise; her parents, Raymond and Opal Kirby.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Wortham of Jonesboro; sister, Mary Fletcher of Caraway; grandchildren, Kevin Horn and wife Shonda; Andrea Seymour and husband Joey; 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be 2:00 Monday, February 22, 2021, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Jackson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Danny Dillinger, Trenton Findley, Steven Letner, Randy Mitchell, Joey Seymour and Mitch Carter will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Monday.
