Carolyn Marie Wilson

Carolyn Wilson, 57, of Bay, died peacefully at her home Friday morning. She was born in Lepanto and had lived in this area all of her life. She had lived in Bay for the past 24 years. Carolyn was a Customer Service Representative for Town & Country Insurance Agency in Jonesboro. She was an active member of Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Bay for many years. She had served the church in many capacities; as church secretary, singing in the choir, children’s church, and helping to write Christmas programs for the church. She loved her grandchildren and shopping. She was a serving person; always trying to make sure everyone was taken care of and prayed for. Carolyn loved her dogs and animals and frequently rescued animals in need.

She is survived by her husband, David Wilson, Bay; her children, Bobby & Christel Wilson, Paragould; brother and sister-in-law, Edward & Jackie Campbell, Chandler, Oklahoma; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda & Howard Heron, Mabelvale, Linda & Jimmy Jackson, Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Tyler Decker and Lavella Decker; and her many loving, furry friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alford James & Pauline Honeycutt Campbell.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Broadway Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Bay with Joel McMasters and Michael Willard officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be John Travis, Lomer Turney, Gary Smith, Rodney Lee, Kenny Walker, and Larry Rawls.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Co-Workers at Town & Country Insurance Agency

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
