Carolyn McCourtney Tomlinson, 72, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, January 25, 2018 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born December 7, 1945 in Paragould to the late Bon and Geraldine McCourtney. Carolyn never met a stranger and loved spending time with people. She loved being with her friends and listening to music. Carolyn most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Tomlinson and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeriann (Mitch) Swindle; two sons, Jerrod (Shelly) Simmons, Jeremy (Annette) Simmons; two sisters, 1 granddaughter, Abbi (Justin) Whitley; five step-grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jonathan Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
