Carolyn Tinsley

August 29, 1949 — July 26, 2020

Carolyn (Henderson) Tinsley, 70, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at her home of natural causes.

Carolyn was born in Jonesboro and grew up in the Bono area. She was a 1967 graduate of Bono High School then married Harold Tinsley and moved to Jonesboro where she lived most of her life.  In 1968 Carolyn began a 35 1/2-year career with General Electric in Jonesboro, retiring in 2003 as a quality control analyst.

Carolyn was a member of Greensboro Road Church of Christ where she always enjoyed singing with the congregation. She loved  keeping a beautiful yard and working in her flowers.  Carolyn enjoyed  Florida family vacations where she got to visit her sister and the beach. She especially enjoyed vacationing at Siesta Key near Sarasota.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Martha Anna Roberts Henderson, and an infant sister, Barbara Ann Henderson.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Harold Tinsley of the home, married June 9, 1967;

1 daughter, Lesley Amy Judd of Olive Branch, Mississippi;

1 sister, Ernestine Stevens of Brandon, Florida; and

1 nephew, Dennis Densford of Atlanta, Georgia, and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Terry Joe Kee officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park at Walnut Ridge.
