Carolyn Sue Mcdoniel

October 2, 1936 — March 1, 2024

Carolyn Sue McDoniel, beloved mom, Nana and Aunt Sue Sue passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Sue, as she was known by all, was born October 2, 1936, to Elijah Truman McDoniel and Bertha Mae Cleghorn McDoniel in Evansville, Indiana.

Sue is survived by her only child, a daughter, Kevin Hollingsworth, 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Smith (Joe) and Jerry Hollingsworth (Kim), 2 great granddaughters, Keelee Jo Smith and Kaylee Keith and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sue loved her family and friends and her church, St. Marks Episcopal in Jonesboro, Ark. Sue sang in church choirs and played piano most of her life, she loved music and especially loved singing with all her siblings.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters (Mary Taylor and Lois Sample) and a brother, John McDoniel.

Sue will be missed terribly by her family, but they find comfort in knowing that she is with her savior Jesus and her parents and siblings and once again they are all making a joyful noise to the Lord.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday March 9th, from 4-6pm at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ar.
