Carolyn Leighton

Carolyn Leighton, 89, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1931 in Jonesboro to the late Lloyd and Bernice Stotts. Carolyn was a 1949 graduate of Lake City. She was a member of Windover Baptist Church. Carolyn enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Curt Huckaby; daughter, Julie Huckaby; sister, Frances Smallwood and brother, John Stotts.

Survivors include her daughter in law, Vickie Huckaby; brother, Jim (Lynette) Stotts; sister, Louise Milligan; 3 grandchildren Matt Huckaby, Curtis (Regan) Huckaby, Ashley (Steve) May; 6 great grandchildren: Dan Ryan Huckaby, Miles Huckaby, Hugh Huckaby, Maddie Huckaby, Perry May and Eliza Bernice May.

A private graveside service will be held with Bro. Bill Panneck officiating.
