Carolyn Jane Deal

Carolyn Jane Deal, 74, of Jonesboro, formerly of Sumter, South Carolina, peacefully departed this life on December 5, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on July 8, 1949, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Donald Melvin Foster and Eddye Foster.

Carolyn was a woman of many talents and roles, leaving a lasting impact on those around her. As a devoted mother, military spouse, and loving sister, she embraced her familial roles with warmth and dedication. Her compassionate spirit extended beyond her family as she worked tirelessly in various fields, including cosmetology, real estate, and senior services in South Carolina.

Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life, and one of her favorite pastimes was watching "Cheyenne." She often remarked on the handsome Clint Walker, just like her husband Danny.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Danny L. Deal, and their daughter, Jackie Renee Deal. Carolyn is survived by her son, Daniel Deal, and daughter, Kelly Berry. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her two brothers, Jimmy Dale Gordey and Richard Gordey, and her two sisters, Delores Smallwood and Diane Maggitti. Additionally, she leaves behind three special cousins, Donna Miller, Laura Smith, and Marilyn Selby.

A graveside service to celebrate Carolyn's life will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas.
