Carolyn S. Chambers

Carolyn S. Chambers. 72 of Jonesboro passed away Sunday July 15, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born April 23, 1946.
Carolyn was of the Baptist belief and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She graduated from Nettleton High School in 1963. She retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T in 2000 with 36 years of service. She loved to cook and shop,  was as an avid reader, and devoted her life to her family and grandchildren.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother Lady Maude Shockley and Grandmother Jimmie Louella Higgins and one brother Jimmy Max Shockley.  Survivors include her husband of 53 years Dale Chambers of the home; daughters, Sandy Chambers; Christy (Todd) Thetford; grandchildren Zachary Cook and Kerrigan Thetford; Aunt Patsy Stephens, and Uncle Marvin Higgins all of Jonesboro.

The Family will have a private service under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home and private burial in the Jonesboro Memorial Cemetery with Larry Baily officiating.
