Carol Lee Moye, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away on May 30, 2024, at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House. Carol was born in Paragould on January 25, 1942, to the late Arvel and Sara Thompson. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her grandchild, Gatlin Todd Cooper; sisters, Anne Neuman and Marion Sue Thompson; and significant other, Dewayne Utley.
Carol, a loving mother and grandmother, spent her early years in Paragould but moved to Harrisburg before high school. She was a part of Harrisburg’s 1960 graduating class. After high school, Carol spent a brief amount of time living in Memphis. Eventually, she would move back to Northeast Arkansas and start her family. In recent years, Carol was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed the works of Nora Roberts. But her greatest joy came from being with her kids and grandkids. Some of her fondest memories were cruising with the grandkids in her Chrysler Sebring convertible. For her, nothing could top the smile on their faces while they felt the wind rushing through their hair. Memories everyone would forever cherish.
Carol is survived by her children, Randall Scott Moye of Little Rock, Kevin Tyrone Moye of Jonesboro, and Katrina Lee Watson (Jeremy) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Tara Crowson, Alexsis Mross, Malory Slater (Cody), Dr. Haleigh Moye-Halicki (Devin), and Caroline Moye; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Laden and Tenleigh Slater.
