Carol Mchalffey

Barbara Carol McHalffey, 69 of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.  She was born July 28, 1948 to Charles and Letha Taylor Harris in Jonesboro.  Carol had worked for the Craighead County Courthouse and was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church.  She loved her family and enjoyed going to yard sales.  Carol is preceded in death by her father Charles Homer Harris.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Larry McHalffey of the home; son, Danny McHalffey of Jonesboro; 2 daughters, Tammy McHalffey and Charla Whitehurst, both of Jonesboro; and brother, Charles Joe Harris of Jonesboro; 4 grandchildren, Skylar Whitehurst, Seth McHalffey, Will Hutchison and Hannah McHalffey.

A visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home from 1:00-2:30PM followed by a graveside service at Trinity Cemetery at 3:00PM with Bill Waterman officiating.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
