Carlos Edward Veal

Carlos E. Veal, 78, passed away July 13, 2011 in LaPorte, Indiana. He was born March 28, 1933 in Dell, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Baldridge and Gerald Veal; four brothers, J.W. Veal, Lavern Veal, Larry Veal and Jerry Veal.

He is survived by his wife, LoVinie (West) Veal of Michigan City, Indiana. Daughters: Shirley Fogus (Jerry), Michigan City, Indiana; Della Veal, Michigan City , Indiana. Sons: Carlos Laverne Veal (Cindy), of Colorado and Kenny Veal (Mary) of Michigan City, Indiana. Sisters: LaWanda Franks of McRae, Arkansas; Geraldine Reeves of Bay, Arkansas; brother, Terry Veal of Jonesboro, Arkansas. 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00-1:00 with service starting at 1:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Murray Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Michiana Humane society or the American Heart Association.
