Carla Dannett Harral, 44, of Jonesboro, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at Methodist Hospital Central in Memphis.
Carla was born May 28, 1963 in Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents: Carl (Bo) Pruitt and Alice (Pruitt) Boling, and was a 1981 graduate of Bay High School.
Survivors include: her husband: Randy Harral of the home;
1 step daughter: Jessica Harral of Jonesboro;
1 brother: George Pruitt of Jonesboro; and
Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Carla worked in healthcare administration for over 20 years where she received numerous awards and recognition. Prior to her recent illness, she worked as Chief Financial Officer for Jonesboro Surgical Hospital.
She enjoyed all aspects of life. One of her favorites was traveling and experiencing different cultures. Carla never met a stranger and was always a person concerned about others. She enjoyed the hobby of cooking, sewing and photography (scenic sunrises, sunsets and flower shots).
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Miles officiating. Entombment will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers include: Steve Collar, Denver Dudley, Neal Buckley, Dale Field,
Roy Coble and Bud Farmer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
Carla was blessed on Good Friday 2008 with the receipt of a liver transplant. She was very supportive of the transplant program that contributed largely to her new quality of life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Methodist Healthcare Foundation Transplant Center, P.O. Box 42048, Memphis, TN 38174.
