Carla Kay Borden, age 60, of Danville, Indiana, passed away on January 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born on April 15, 1964, Carla was the beloved daughter of Carl and Donna Gales and wife to Joe Borden.
A devout Christian, Carla’s faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived it with grace, compassion, and dedication. Her love for God and others was evident in everything she did. She was an advocate for those in need, always going above and beyond to support her community and make the world a better place for others. Whether through church activities, volunteering, or simply offering a listening ear, Carla’s kindness was a constant source of light in the lives of many.
In addition to her passion for service, Carla was a loving mother, Nonna, and friend. She cherished her family above all, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Carla’s warmth and generosity of spirit touched everyone she encountered, and her legacy of faith and advocacy will live on in the many lives she influenced.
Carla is survived by her husband of 25 years, Joe Borden; Daughters, Lindsey Sullivan and Jessica Short; her cherished grandchildren, Maddilynne, Colt, Kaylee, and Carson; her siblings and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold her memory dear.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Emerson Funeral Home, Jonesboro Ar.. A celebration of Carla’s life will be held on Saturday Jan 18, 2025, at 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Pastor, Mike Glover will officiate the service.
Carla’s love, compassion, and unshakeable faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of advocacy and kindness will endure forever.
