Carl F. Williams Jr.,

Carl F. Williams Jr., 65, a life long resident of Jonesboro, died February 27, 2024, at his home. He was born in Jonesboro on August 3, 1958, to Carl Frank Williams Sr., and Sarah Williams. He was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ. He spent many hours   reading his Bible, building his relationship with God, and enjoying praise and worship. Carl also served his country in the US Army.  In addition he was an avid sports enthusiast and his hobbies included driving and riding.  He had a very outgoing personality and never met a stranger.  He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Williams Sr., brothers, Paul Williams and Danny Williams; sister Hattie Sills.

Survivors include his mother Sarah Williams of     Jonesboro; sons, Joseph Powell of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Anwar Jamerson (Ladeana) of Dallas; daughters, Jennifer Williams of Dallas; Sophie Wesley of Jonesboro; Derinda Jamerson and Tara Jamerson Strickland (Bruce) both of Dallas; brothers, McKinley Williams of Jonesboro; Billy Ray Williams (Nicole) of San Diego, California; sister, Angel Kindall of Jonesboro; and six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 at St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Alexander officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.  Burial will be private.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
