Carl Fielder

June 21, 1934 — November 18, 2013

Carl Fielder, 79, of Jonesboro went to be with his heavenly father on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. Carl was born in Walcott on June 21, 1934 to Morris and Ruby Fielder. He was a Charter Member of the North Main Baptist Church where he served as the Music Director and Deacon for over five decades. Over those five decades he dedicated himself to sharing and teaching the gospel through his music and serving as Music Minister for many revivals.

Carl was the owner of Fielder Brick Masonry and did the masonry work for various hospitals, churches, and schools in the Jonesboro area. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen Fielder; sister, Kathryn King.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilyn Fielder of the home; daughter Sandy and her husband Dr. Danny Holt and their children, Ginger, Jessica, Elizabeth, and David and grandchildren, Haley and Rylie; daughter Pam and her husband Brian Haun and their children, Gabriel and Amelia; brother, James Fielder all of Jonesboro.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the North Main Baptist Church, with Brother Gary Brown officiating and Emerson Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Walcott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Wynne Cox, Ely Baltz, B.J. Fort, Dr. Danny Holt, Brian Haun, Max Dacus Jr., Chris Dacus, Frankie Dacus, Ricky Fielder, and Eric Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be Max Dacus, Bill Dacus, James Fielder, David Holt, Dr.
David Fielder, Bill Puckett and the deacons of North Main Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Emerson Funeral Home.
