Carl C. Irvin, 75, of Trumann, died Friday, April 10, 2009, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.

Born in Okolona, Mississippi, Carl lived in Memphis before moving to Jonesboro in 1974. He lived in Corning 10 years before moving to Trumann last year. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for over 30 years and was retired from Roadway Express where he was a driver and dock clerk.

Carl attended Trumann Revival Center and enjoyed raising horses, deer, goats, chickens and other livestock. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean Irvin of the home;

1 son, Glen Irvin of Jonesboro;

4 daughters: Carla Tate of Nuneaton, UK,
Sharon McElroy of Clayton, North Carolina, Dianne Alvarez of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Donna Hollis of Trumann;

9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Hardwick and Rev. Geoffrey McElroy officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: Ray Blaylock, Doug Blaylock, Larry Taylor, Lane Daniel, Dave McElroy and Jerry Scott. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Holcomb and Ed Rounds.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.
