Caren Davis Gammill, 74, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home with her family.
She was born in Bay to the late Howard and Alma Davis on March 25, 1944. Caren was member of the Bay High School class of 1962 and First United Methodist Church.
Her life revolved around her family. Caren absolutely loved her family, especially her grandchildren to whom she was known as Nana. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling; her favorite destination was visiting the beach and listening to the ocean. Caren lost her husband of 57 years on March 29, 2018 to whom she will be joining in her new Heavenly home. In addition to her parents, Caren is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gammill.
Caren is survived by her daughters, Michelle Bacot (Mike) of Jonesboro and Renee Harmon (David) of Jonesboro; brother, William Davis (Gail) of Piggott; sister, Debbie Patton of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Mackenzie Glassell (Andrew) of Germantown, Max Bacot (Nikki) of Jonesboro, and Seth Harmon of Jonesboro; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on July 3, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Marty Spurlock, Dustan Gammill, Scott Gammill, Michael Work, Heath Gammill, and Darin Davis. The honorary pallbearers will be the Christian Followers Sunday School Class.
The visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:30 am.
