Candy Ann Potter, 56, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House on September 16, 2026.

Candy was born in Jonesboro on June 5, 1970, to Patsy Ann Hotchkiss. She lived most of her life in Jonesboro, graduating from Valley View High School and Crowley’s Ridge College, and was a longtime member of Bono Church of Christ. Candy loved flowers with vibrant colors of green, pink, yellow, and purple. An avid shopper with an eye for style, she took great joy in building a beautiful collection of clothes, purses, and shoes. Beyond her love for fashion, her truest passion was for children, whom she loved and nurtured deeply. She worked with children at The Learning Center in Jonesboro, in the nursery at Bono Church of Christ, and in children’s church. Blessed with a deeply affectionate nature, Candy held a close and loving bond with her nephews and nieces. They were always in her thoughts, and she took great joy in celebrating their life’s milestones alongside them. Candy will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones alike, especially her two cats, Patches and Little One, whom she loved dearly.

Candy is preceded in death by her daughter, Molly Ann Potter, and her grandmother-in-law, Betty Strong.

Candy is survived by her husband, Charlie Potter of Jonesboro; her mother, Patsy Ann Hotchkiss; her mother-in-law, Sue Maccarino (David), of Millington, TN; her brother, Nathan Hotchkiss (Emily), of Cabot; her sisters, Hope Parks (Darrell) and Tina Hotchkiss (Bryce), both of Jonesboro; her sisters-in-law, Tiffany Potter of Memphis, TN, and Melissa Potter of Olive Branch, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Bono Church of Christ on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The family requests that everyone in attendance wear green or floral print to honor Candy's memory.
