Mr. James “Buster” Robinson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday December 3, 2021, at the age of 87. He was born May 15, 1934, to the late James H and Dovea (Pogue) Robinson of Jonesboro, Arkansas
In addition to his parents Buster is preceded in death by; two Sisters, Ludean (B.C.) Gulley, Billie Jean Robinson; and two brothers, Eugene Robinson, and John H (Donna) Robinson; and one daughter, Predonna Littleton of Lake Worth Beach, Florida, and longtime friend Muriel Sullivan.
James was born and raised in Jonesboro. He was a proud graduate of Valley View High School. He then served in the United States Army before settling down to raise his family in Des Plaines, IL. He worked in road construction and equipment moving for forty years before retiring back to his hometown, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was a very proud dad and grandfather. In his years of retirement, he was an avid member of the Crowley’s Ridge Cruisers Car club, Neasra, and attended Senior dances, sometimes multiple times a week.
He is survived by his daughter, Carla Robinson (Tom Yacura, family friend) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and his son Mathew (Nancy) Littleton of Round Lake Beach, Illinois and several nieces and nephews and 3 Grandchildren, Sarah Littleton, Curtis Robinson, and Mathew Littleton.
Friends and Family may visit Emerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, starting at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will be beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Strawfloor Cemetery.
Officiating the services will be Don Vuncannon.
