Bud Gross, Jr.

Gus W. “Bud” Gross, Jr., 71 of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday at NEA Baptist Hospital. Bud was born in Fort Smith, AR and lived in St. Louis, MO before moving to Jonesboro, AR in 1993. He was a member of Christian Valley Christian Church in Valley View. Bud retired from Ramson Construction as a supervisior. He was a craftsman and perfectionist in his job.

Bud was a long time member of the Jonesboro Elks Lodge where he was a past State President, DDGER of Arkansas and State Ritual Chairman. Bud was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as a Seabee. He was an avid trout fisherman and also enjoyed duck hunting.

Bud is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 35 years; sons, Andrew (Nicole) Gross of Ballwin, MO, Michael Gross of Ballwin, MO, Wes (Carrie) Gross of Jonesboro, AR and Clifford (Robin) Buchanan of Rector, AR; daughter, Laurie Ann (Charles) White of Ballwin, MO; sister, Jerree (Rick) Boyd of Indianapolis, IN and his mother, Clytis Starke Gross of Indianapolis, IN. Bud is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor, Miranda, Charlie, Nicholas, Arrington, Alexis, Cooper and Bradley. He is preceded in death by his father Gus W. Gross, Sr.

A memorial service will be 5:30 pm, Friday, December 7, 2012 at Christian Valley Christian Church in Valley View with Bro. Mitch Ford officiating.

Visitation will be prior to the memorial service from 4:00-5:30 pm. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
