Brisco Floyd Coots

February 17, 1910 — April 19, 2008

Brisco Floyd Coots, 98 of Jonesboro died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Ohio Co. Kentucky on February 17, 1910 to Palestine and Viola Davis Coots. He was preceded in death by his wife Jennie Ruth Coots, his parents and by one son Vernon Clyde Coots, three grandsons, one granddaughter, five brothers and three sisters.

Mr. Coots lived in Jonesboro for forty two years moving here from Cash, he was a retired farmer, an avid fisherman, and a retired elder of Stone Street Church of Christ.

Survived by two sons; Norman Coots and Dale Coots both of Jonesboro.

Seven daughters; Myrtle Wagner of Tuckerman, AR. Dorothy Hawkins of Rock Island, Ill., Helen Smith, Evelyn Riggs, Joyce Cummins, Ann Hudson and Janet Dotson all of Jonesboro.

Thirty Four Grandchildren, Fifty Seven Great-Grandchildren, Twenty Four Great Great-Grandchildren

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday April 22, 2008 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with A.W. Goff, Dick Blackford and Carl Hollis officiating. Burial will be in Johnson cemetery with Emerson Funeral Hme of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5-8:00 P.M. Monday April 21, 2008 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Ronald Coots, Victor Hawkins, Laddy Wagner, Michael Coots, Shawn Coots and Chris Dotson.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren.
