Brett Ryan Grice

August 10, 1990 — April 3, 2023

Brett Ryan Grice, 32, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, went home to be with Jesus Christ on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born August 10, 1990, in Pensacola, Florida to Donald Ray Grice and the late Debra Jean Grice.

Brett was a proud graduate of Arkansas State University and worked many years in the banking industry, most recently for Arvest Bank. Brett loved to be in nature. He loved to hike trails near Petit Jean Mountain and many trails between Craighead Forest Park and the Nature Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He loved botanical gardens, swimming, beautiful beaches, bonfires, photography, graphic design, and being a Godparent to Abella Ellis.

As a child Brett played football and baseball, but truly came into his own after finding Taekwondo in which he earned a black belt. He enjoyed teaching Taekwondo to kids and adults alike. He lived a life of service as he helped his family and friends, out of the goodness of his heart, with personal issues, hard times, business ventures, interior home design, and anything anyone ever needed. He truly loved to help others.

In addition to his mother, Brett was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Cate, paternal grandfather Lonnie Clarence "LC" Grice and paternal grandmother, Mary Norton Grice (Dykes).

In addition to his father, Brett is survived by maternal grandmother Winnie Cate; 2 sisters, Amanda Coates of Cantonment, Florida, Donna Grice of Pace, Florida, and 5 brothers: Rusty Grice of Canyon Lake, Texas, Budd Grice of Pensacola, Florida, Matt (wife Danielle) Grice of Lacey, Washington, Bryant Grice of Arlington, Texas and Danny Grice of Pensacola, Florida. He is greatly missed by many other family members too numerous to list, and is greatly missed by an incredibly loving group of close friends.

Additional memorial services will be announced at a later date.
