Bret Arnold Huggins

Bret Arnold Huggins, 41, of Jonesboro, died Sunday November 19, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

He was born in Trumann, and had lived in Jonesboro all of his life. He was preceded in death by his father James (Jim) Huggins in 1989.

He was a manager and delivery personnel for Aramark Uniform Service. Was a member of Community Fellowship Church, where he taught the Foundation of Faith Sunday School Class for several years, and was an AWANA game time director.

He was s graduate of Nettleton High School in 1983, and also attended Arkansas State University, and was in the pike fraternity. He also was a basketball coach for Valley View Elementary nine year old, and also worked the sidelines at the Nettleton High School home games.

Survivors include his wife: Barbara Atkeson Huggins of the home.

Two sons: Bo and Jesse Huggins of the home.

Three daughters: Kori Huggins of Russellville, Ark and Logan and Rani Hale Huggins of the home.

Two brothers: William H. Huggins and David Tramell both of Jonesboro.

One sister: Jimmye J. Newberry of Jonesboro.

His mother: Freeda Hale of Jonesboro. Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts and Cousins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday November 22, at the Community Fellowship Church with Pastor Rex Holt and Pastor David Burgess officiating, Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.

Active Pallbearers will be Darrell Hoggard, Mike Nash, Roger Williams, Jerry West, Bo Jones, David Powell, T.J. Long and Renicco Simmons.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nettleton Football Team, class of 1981-82.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 21, from 5-7 p.m. at the Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
