Brenda Sue Sharp, 73, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1948 in Walnut Ridge to the late John Alfred "Buck" Foster and Ella Mae Owens. Brenda was of the Church of Christ belief. She retired from the City of Jonesboro after 33 years of working in the finance department. Brenda enjoyed going to Lake Norfork, reading, fishing, horse races, bingo and traveling. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her son, Roger Kiley Thompson.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Bob Sharp of the home; 2 sons, Randy (Rhonda) Sharp of Jonesboro, Richard (Jen) Sharp of D’Iberville, Mississippi; daughter, Rhonda (Danny) Qualls of Jonesboro; brother, Ricky Foster of Walnut Ridge; 4 sisters: Sandy Houston of Jonesboro, Linda McLintock of Rockford, Illinois, Judy Foster of Imboden, Mecca Foster of Rockford Illinois; 8 grandchildren: McKay Thompson, Darrah Thompson, Roxane Thompson, Kyler Sharp all of Jonesboro, Riley Sharp of D’Iberville, Mississippi, Kelsey Qualls (Mike) Tisher of Bentonville, Alyssa Ordonia and Kiera Ordonia both of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 1 great grandchild, Harper Tisher of Bentonville and numerous other family and friends.
Graveside service will be Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Philadelphia Cemetery with Bro. Don Blackmore officiating.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the service in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
