Brenda Polston

Brenda L Poston, 64 of Lake City, died Monday, January 10, 2022, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

Brenda was born to Lucille and Wayne Smith on May 18, 1957, in Lake City, Arkansas. She spent her younger years in Lake City, moving to Jonesboro after she graduated from high school. Brenda received her LPN license in 1977 and dedicated her life to caring for others. The first part of her career was spent bringing life into the world in Labor and Delivery at Methodist Hospital. The latter part she spent caring for the elderly in long-term care facilities. Brenda met the love of her life Terry in 1983. They remained married until his passing in 2007. Brenda never remarried.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Polston; her mother, Lucille Smith; and her brother, David Smith.

She is survived by two stepsons; Robert Polston (Amy) of Lake City, Ryan Polston (Ann) of Clarksville, TN; and two cousins, Diane Olive of Lake City and Sandra Baker Wheeley (Buddy) of Jonesboro.

Brenda was devoted to her family and friends and will be forever missed.
