Brenda was a member of the Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, Central Baptist Church, and the St. Bernard’s Senior Center. She grew up with many siblings and became a caretaker at a young age. She loved singing country and gospel music, especially Elvis, listening to live music, going to flea markets, and spending time with her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also made lavish pageant gowns for her daughter Cheryl; outfits for her daughter Rena’s plays; and extravagant costumes for the grandkids for Halloween and other events. She was full of wit and spunk and instilled in her girls an unstoppable grit, determination, faith, and zest for life.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, John Crocker, Ralph Crocker, Dorothy Montgomery, Vera Hamilton, J.D. Crocker, Sue Fouts, Mae Hager, and Roberta Cook.
