Brenda Carter Bozarth

Brenda Marie Carter Bozarth, 64, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Brenda was a native and lifelong resident of Jonesboro. She was a 1970 graduate of Nettleton High School and worked many years in banking. Brenda also worked for a period of time at Jonesboro Surgical Associates.

Brenda was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Carter.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Harold Bozarth of the home,
married September 25, 1970;
her mother, Georgia Lunsford Carter of Jonesboro;
2 daughters and son-in-law: Angie and Shawn Smith, and Britney Blevin, all of Jonesboro;
1 brother and sister-in-law: David and Cindi Carter of Bay;
1 sister and brother-in-law: Teresa and Ricky Hutchison of Bay;
3 grandchildren: Channing Smith, Sheridan Smith and Cagen Mitchell;
3 sisters of the heart: Dora Stem Edings, Debbie Stevens Carter and Janice Gray Williams; and
numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Pierce Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Tim Eaker, Mike Carter, George Edings, Keith Pinchback, Kevin Scarborough and Derick Carter.
