Brenda Lee Bishop

Brenda Lee Bishop, age 75, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at her home in Cave City, Arkansas surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 1, 1950 in Holland, Missouri to Herman and Ivie Moore. Brenda worked as a homemaker and foster care provider for 30+ years. She was a loving parent and devoted caregiver to countless children. She enjoyed playing bingo and loving her beloved family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ivie Moore; stepfather, Emmett Johnson; brothers, John Moore and Terry Johnson; daughter, Tammy Hernandez; nephews, Marty Bishop and John Adam McGrew; and niece, Jennifer Bishop.

Brenda’s surviving family members include her husband, Tommy C. Bishop of Cave City, Arkansas; sisters, Marjorie Lynn of Idaho and Delilah Bishop of Oklahoma; brother, Jermey Johnson of Oklahoma; sons, Timothy Bishop of Jessieville, Arkansas, Johnny, Joseph, and Jose Bishop of Cave City, Arkansas; daughters, Eva Ybarra of Lemoore, California, Sabrina and Rosemarie Bishop of Cave City, Arkansas; 9 grandkids; 12 great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a loving wife, sister, mother, and nana.

Pallbearers include her sons, Timothy, Johnny, Joseph, and Jose Bishop and her nephews, Donnie and Mickey Bishop, and Marcus McGrew.

Visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with interment following at Bishop Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Emerson Funeral Home.
