Brandon Riley Maxwell, 48, of Perkinston, Mississippi passed from this life on October 29, 2021. He was born on September 16, 1973 in Jonesboro to Ricky Maxwell and Nancy McDole Tolewitzke. Brandon was a graduate of Brookland High School and a member the Army Reserve. He enjoyed living in the country, tinkering on motors, and playing with his dogs. Family was a large part of Brandon’s life and he loved his family more than anything. Brandon is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gerald “TG” Maxwell; maternal grandparents, Charles and Frankie McDole; and several aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Brandon is survived by his daughter Layla Paige of Mississippi; dad, Rick Maxwell of Jonesboro; mom, Nancy Tolewitzke (Jim) of Brookland; grandmother, Hazel Maxwell of Jonesboro; brother, Alec Maxwell (Betty) of Mississippi and Jaxon Tolewitzke of Brookland; sister, Andrea Montgomery (Casey Young) of Jonesboro; step-sister, Jennifer Tolewitzke; nieces and nephews, Frankie Maxwell of Mississippi, Jace, Michelle, and Ella Montgomery of Jonesboro; and special friends, Brooks, Laney, and Bryce. Brandon also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
The visitation will be held from 12:30 -2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Cemetery in Bono with Wendell King officiating. The pallbearers will be Donnie Workman, George “Billy” Hall, Brad Baugh, Cody Baugh, Tyler Baugh, and Alex Moody. The honorary pallbearers will be Roger Whittaker and Jason Martin.
