Thomas “Brandon” Hanson, 42, of Jonesboro passed from this life Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Brandon was born in Jonesboro to Randy and Donna Hanson on July 28, 1979. He was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro and was of the Baptist belief. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family and kids. He also enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, working in the yard, spending time at the lake and the river, and just loved being outdoors in general.
In addition to his father, Randy Hanson, Brandon is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Virginia Gambill and paternal grandparents, Tommy and Doris Hanson.
Brandon is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Hanson, of the home; mother, Donna Slagley(Billy Slagley-step father);son, Dylan Despain (Autumn Nunley) of Jonesboro; McKenzie Hanson and Layken Hanson both of Jonesboro; brother, Brad Hanson (Dusti Miller) of Jonesboro; step-brothers, Austin Slagley of Diaz and Drake Slagley of Swifton; sister, Amy Shields of Jonesboro and Amy Hester of Bono; one grandchild, Lawson; nieces and nephews, Logan, Drew, Jaxon, Jordan (Katie), Seth, Kendra (Joel), Curtis (Cara), McKenna, and Keeley; great nieces and nephews, Noah, Kayden, Raylan, Lyla, and Jaxon.
A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at The Jonesboro Worship Center with Rev. R.J. Wooten, Rev. Marty Spurlock, and Rev. B.J. Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery with active pallbearers being Brad Hanson, Hunter Harrison, Brett Duncan, Brian Spurlock, T.W. Culpepper, Ryan Gambill, Jason Sharp, Richard Wyatt, Jason Davis, Drake Slagley, Austin Slagley, Chad Turner, Michael Posey, and Kevin Barksdale.
