Brandi Tate Arender, 41, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Brandi was a 1998 graduate of Jonesboro High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Arkansas State University. She worked in healthcare in Jonesboro both in the public and private sectors before becoming disabled twelve years ago.
Brandi was of the Baptist faith and loved riding her Harley-Davidson before her health failed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially beach trips to the Gulf coast and taking care of her puppy dogs. One of the things Brandi collected on her trips to amusement parks was the smashed pennies depicting the park. Over the years she has amassed a great number of these pennies. Brandi was preceded in death by her daughter, Carissa Jade; maternal grandparents: Kirt and Juanita Goad, and paternal grandparents Quillen and Stella Tate.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Arender of the home;
2 sons, Creed Arender of the home and Chance Arender of Bay;
her mom and dad, Garry and Darla Tate of Jonesboro;
brother, Jason Tate of Pennsylvania;
2 nephews, Cody Tate and Chandler Tate, both of Jonesboro;
3 nieces: Chrissy Mesenbrink of Utah, Skyla Tate and Maddie Tate, both of Paragould; and
several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Nick Dito, Alex Hernandez, Frank Darvis, Chris Smith, Devin Norris and Nick Snearly. Honorary pallbearers include Nooney Smith and Michael Burch.
