Bradley Frank Snider was born in Little Rock, AR on December 29, 1959, and entered eternal rest on November 22, 2022.
For over 40 years, Brad was a leader of finance in Northeast Arkansas. He was a humble leader, yet left a bold footprint along his journey. His career began with Peat, Marwick and Mitchell & Co. and BKD, LLP in Little Rock as a Certified Public Accountant. In 1991, Brad began serving as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Lending Officer for North Arkansas Bancshares, Inc. and Subsidiary Newport Federal Savings Bank. While serving as Bank President, the institution transitioned from stock owned to a public entity under his leadership.
Brad had a personal joy and focus on volunteering in the Newport community. He served many years in executive leadership roles with The United Way, Newport Chamber of Commerce, and the annual Port Fest Chairperson. He was the former President and member of the Newport Rotary Club and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. He was an active choir member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Newport.
Brad loved community banking and thrived on finding ways to invest in his hometown of Jonesboro. This passion was realized when he was named Community President of FNBC Bank of Jonesboro. Brad was instrumental in the growth and great productivity of the staff and the profitability of the institution.
Brad was supported in love for a lifetime by his parents, Bob and Peggy; siblings, Phyllis, Lance, Butch, and Robin, as well as extended family in Carlisle, AR.
Brad was the loving “Boss” to his wife Denise, children Andy and Tate, daughter-in-law Ashley, grandson Beckett, as well as anticipated granddaughter Susannah. His family will be forever influenced by Brad’s integrity and work ethic, as well as his humble/intentional leadership to his family. Brad was consistently thankful to God for his abundant blessings and companionship - never wavering in God’s wisdom and grace.
Throughout Brad’s illness, he and his family were continually thankful and in awe of the compassion, encouragement, and bold prayers offered by dear family, friends, and colleagues. These acts of graciousness will serve as a constant reminder of those who loved Brad and of God’s great mercies.
The service and visitation will be held Saturday, November 26 at First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, AR. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church followed by the service beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
