Bonnie Sue Hensley Sitz

Bonnie Sue Hensley Sitz, age 80, of Caraway, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 12:50pm surrounded by her family. She was born on February 21, 1946, in Milligan Ridge, Arkansas, to Lealun and Birdie Barker. She was raised in the love of her parents and 5 siblings.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 28 years, Robert Hensley of Caraway, AR. She is also survived by two sons, John Lee Sitz of Hardy, AR and Jason (Trish) Sitz of Jonesboro, AR, her grandchildren Jesseca (Mitchell) Bass, Bonnie Lee Sitz of Jonesboro, Clayton Sitz, Trevor Sitz of Hardy, AR, Slade (Amanda) Sitz of Manila, AR, great grandchildren John Caleb Sitz, Saylor Jo Sitz, Peyton Sitz, Harrison Sitz, Halston Sitz, and two stepsons Anthony Hensley and Robert Shane Hensley, and a special step grandson Chad Hensley, and a special son from another mother, Jerry Wayne Redding. She is also survived by her brothers Billy Wade (Annie) Barker of Milligan Ridge, AR and Eddie Joe (Cindy) Barker of Jonesboro, AR, and one sister, Mae Esther Hicks of Caraway, AR. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who deeply loved and adored her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by a beautiful baby girl angel, Desa Rhea Sitz, and a beloved stepson Mike Hensley, as well as a brother, Ricky Lee Barker, and sister, Roxie Leodler.

Bonnie was a beloved Mom, Memaw, Sister, Aunt, Bluebell and Friend to so many who cherished her so dearly. The twinkle in her eyes was the sacred love she held for her grandbabies who she affectionately called her BaBoos. She will be remembered for her tremendous love, compassion, and devotion to everyone God put in her path. She owned and operated J & B Sandwich Store and is still known to this day in Caraway, AR for her sweet tea, homemade potato chips, and famous steak sandwiches. Another profession very special to her was being a Nanny for the wonderful Bagley family.

She had an enthusiastic sense of humor, an unforgettable laugh, a warm assuring smile, an affectionate hug, and was deeply devoted to everyone she loved. She believed deeply in the comfort and love of God and the power of prayer and shared it openly. Her devotion to all her loved ones left us with the gift and example of true loving service. Her life will be forever celebrated, and she will be incredibly missed.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Slade Sitz, Clayton Sitz, Jerry Wayne Redding, Billy Joe Barker, Raun Barker and Justin Bagley. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Waugh, Anthony Hensley, Chad Hensley and Trevor Sitz.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Emerson Funeral Home and the funeral service will be conducted the following day, Monday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m.
