Bonnie Hartsell

Bonnie Hartsell, 68, of Jonesboro, died Saturday at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived in Jonesboro for the past 16 years, moving here from Grove Hill, Alabama. She was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ.

Ms. Hartsell was a regular volunteer in the St. Bernard’s Gift Shop. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Her hobbies included painting and basket making.

Ms. Hartsell is survived by her father, Leonard Dodson, Hayti, MO; daughters, Victoria Assenberg, Seattle, WA, Karen Pusin, Norman, OK; her 3 brothers, Bobby Dodson, Paragould, Terry Dodson, Hopkinsville, KY, Jerry Dodson, Jonesboro; her sister, Sandra Upton, Harvest, AL; 7 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Young and Mike Dugger officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Reid Dodson, Douglas Dodson, Travis Upton, Marty Pitts, Corey McMullen, and Chris Ingle.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
