Bonnie Carol Brand

April 4, 1950 — October 23, 2007

Bonnie Carol Brand, 57, of Bay, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Bernards Medical Center. She had lived in Bay for 30 years, moving there from Jonesboro. She was a member of the Bay Church of Christ. Mrs. Brand had worked in the child care business for 23 years. She was the former director of the Nettleton PALS Program and was the owner/operator of the Learning Tree Daycare Center in Bay.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James William Brand, Bay; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark & Cara Brand, Jonesboro, Matthew & Amanda Brand, Trumann; her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly & Corey Finley, Brookland; her sisters, Willie Lee Yates, Indianapolis, Indiana, Sylvia Nell Rider, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Marjorie Gilbreath, Pocahontas, Martha Baker, Walnut Ridge; and her grandchildren, Madison Brand and Rhett Brand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Bonnie Coombs Brumley and her brother, John Dee Brumley.

Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Marvin Rickett and Tim Wilke, II officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Brand, Bill Brand, Ronald Brand, Roger Brand, Jack Brand, and Lonnie Gilbreath.

Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Bay Church of Christ.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
