Bonnie Jaunita (Hairrell) Bean, 91, of Jonesboro went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 6, 2020. She was born in Waterloo, Alabama on July 2, 1928 to Bert and Dora Hairrell.
Bonnie graduated from Dixie High School in 1947 and was a member of 1st Free will Baptist Church in Jonesboro. She loved her Church Family and was a great prayer warrior, wonderful Pastor’s Wife, and a caring Sunday School Teacher. Bonnie and her husband, Paul, lived most of their married lives in Jonesboro. She loved knitting, fishing, camping, gardening, and canning. Bonnie was great at fishing for Crappie and was even better at cooking the fish she caught.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her daughter, Edith Ranae (Bean) Clayton; brothers, Hermage Hairrell, Chester Hairrell, Lynn Hairrell, Bert H. Hairrell, and Larry Hairrell; sisters, Jimmie Smith, Gertrude Boone, and Loretta Clark.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 69 years. Paul Bean Sr. of Jonesboro; son, Paul Bean (Debbie) of Jonesboro; grandsons, Josh Bean (Lindsay) of Jonesboro and Zach Bean (Laura) of Jonesboro; and great grandchildren, Barron, Kyson, London, and Benton.
The visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Emerson Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Josh Bean, Zach Bean, Dennis Smith, Joel Clark, Brandon Smith, and Bart Smith. The honorary pallbearers will be Ted Weiss, Bruce Boone, and Jason Luttrell.
