Bobby Joe Pyburn

Bobby Joe Pyburn, 73 of Lester, passed from this life at his home Wednesday. He was born in Delaplaine to Raymon and Bertha Williams Pyburn. Bobby attended school in Dixie and worked for Coca-cola, Pepsi and Royal Crown soda. He was the owner and operator of Pyburn grocery in Lester since 1973. Bobby loved telling stories; singing and playing the guitar; and hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freddy. Survivors include his wife, Julia of the home; 2 sons, Larry (Pam) Pyburn and Michael Pyburn, all of Lester. 1 daughter, Beverly (Scott) McDuffee of Lester; 1 brother, Tom (Linda) Pyburn of Lester; 1 sister, Esther (Bill) Williams of Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:30 PM Saturday, June 7, 2014 with service at 2:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Stephen Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pruett Chapel Cemetery near Paragould with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers include Michael Pyburn, Larry Pyburn, Lee Pyburn, Jerry Jones, Keith Hayes, Bobby Pyburn and Thomas Pyburn. Honorary pallbearers include Morris Gene Lee and Ed Tinnon.
