Bobby W. Pate

Bobby W. Pate, 79, of Brookland, died December 12, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Bobby has lived in Brookland for 5 years moving from Paragould. He was of the Pentecostal belief and was in the Army serving in the Korean War. Bobby retired from Emerson Electric after working there for 33 years. He loved to fish and was a wonderful gardener.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Minnie Lee Nolan Pate; and one sister Barbara Rutherford;

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Joyce Pate of the home; 3 sons, Bobby Lee (Diane) Pate of Paragould, Tommy Ray (Jodi) Pate of Fenton, Missouri, and David Wayne (Dawn) Pate of Brookland; a daughter Patricia Carol Pate of Perryville, Missouri; a brother Donald Duvall of Newark, Ohio; 3 sisters June Ray of Jonesboro, Martha Holland of Dallas Texas, and Cynthia Ford of Batesville; and 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

There will be a visitation held Thursday, December 13th from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home, all other services will be private. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Paragould Children’s Home: 5515 Walcott Rd. Paragould, Arkansas 72450
