Bobby Gene Lamberson

Bobby Gene Lamberson, 78, of Bay, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at his home of natural causes.

A native and life-long resident of Bay, Bobby work for Southern Wooden Box in Jonesboro in 1966-1967. Following the Box Factory, Bobby was a farmer for the next 37 years until his retirement. He worked 20 years for Ashlock Farms and 17 years for Wileman farms. Bobby saw himself as a simple man and was well liked in the Bay community. He thoroughly enjoyed his daily trips to the coffee shop where he visited with the area farmers and workers.

Bobby was a member of the Bay Assembly of God and enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Marie Carter Lamberson; his wife; Faye Lamberson; and his sister, Shelby Lamberson. The family wishes to extend deep appreciation and a Thank You to the Dierkson Hospice Team for the exceptional care given to Bobby during his illness.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Renee and Robert Padgett of Bay;
2 sons and daughter-in-law: Rev. Mark and Dana Lamberson of Bay, and Wade Lamberson of Trumann;
2 half brothers and their wives: Terry and Michelle Lamberson of Paragould, and Barry and Melody Lamberson of Jonesboro;
1 half sister and her husband: Regina and Mickey McDaniel of Jonesboro;
4 grandchildren and spouse: Kailyn Lamberson, Bronwyn Lamberson, Zack Walker and Cody and Whitney Walker;
1 great granddaughter, Kendra Walker; and
his Chipoddle buddy, "Sidney."

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Mike Bradford, Brandy Scott, Brandon Travis, Mark Travis, Elbert Bradford and Leland Wileman.
