Bobby Dean Heath

Rev. Bobby Dean Heath, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away March 3, 2020 in the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. Born June 6th, 1933, in Nettleton Arkansas to Ray and Clara Heath. Bob married Flo Ella Higdon on April 19, 1950. They were married 69 years.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Andy, Hugh, (twin brother) Billy and Jackie, son Larry Heath and grandchildren Bobby Heath, and Will Stallings.

Bob is survived by children Sandra(Dwight) Hamby, Robert(Deborah) Heath, Jim(Sharlet) Heath, and Angie(Barry) Self, grandchildren Amber(Les)Cirilo, Amy Hamby, Michael (Michelle) Heath, Justin (Cassie) Hamby, Casey (Lauren) Heath, Jarrod(Shelly) Hamby, Brandi(Jon) Dacus, Heather(Matt) Stallings, Garrett(Destiny) Hillis, and Levi Hillis, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Bob Retired from General Electric and was a General Baptist Minister for 60 years. Bob Pastored several churches in Indiana, Kentucky and Arkansas. He founded Southridge General Baptist Church in Jonesboro Arkansas. Bob graduated from Arkansas State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Bob also served as Chaplain for Craighead County Arkansas Sherriff’s Office and Consolidated Youth Services in Harrisburg Arkansas.

Bob loved being a Minister of the Gospel and spending time with his family. He is known for his great homemade biscuits, and he loved to eat out especially Mexican.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 6, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home 1629 E Nettleton Ave, Jonesboro Arkansas, 72401 beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Joey Rupard and Bob's son Robert Heath officiating. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include grandsons Dakota Brewer, Justin Hamby, Jarrod Hamby, Michael Heath, Garrett Hillis and Levi Hillis.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday March 5, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home.
