Bobby H. Hunter, 73, of rural Jonesboro, died Saturday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Cash, Mr. Hunter lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He retired from Arkansas Glass Container Corporation in 2006 with 40 years of service. He attended the Huntington Avenue Baptist Church and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Kay Hazelwood, by an infant son, Bobby Hunter, Jr., 1 brother, Elzie Holman, and 3 sisters, Lillie Holiday, Willie Holman and Novie Autry.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Hunter of the home;
3 sons: Mike Hunter, Andrew Hunter and Tommy Hunter, all of Jonesboro;
2 daughters: Judy Lock and Linda Clark, both of Jonesboro;
1 step son: Donald Henry of Jonesboro;
1 brother: O.Z. Holman of Florida;
12 grandchildren: April, Malcolm, Virginia, Larry, Steven, Brandon, Page, Crystal, Matthew, Haleigh, Dyllan and Tiffany; and
9 great grandchildren: Kaylop, Trinity, Dakota, Larry, Jr., Sy, Jayden, Kolby, Dayka and Jamie.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Martin Passmore and Carolyn Passmore officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.
Active pallbearers include Dewayne Linebough, Bruce Birdsong, Todd Thetford, Fred Hatenhauer, Charles Gammon and Wayne Couch.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
