Bobby F. Wood

Bobby Fletcher Wood, 67, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born near Morrilton, Bobby lived in California before moving to Jonesboro 30 years ago. He worked several places in Jonesboro, including teaching school, Dealers Service of Arkansas and Quality Gladiolus before retiring from St. Bernards Medical Center as a CNA. Bobby was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Wood.

Survivors include: His wife: Leslie Wood of the home;

2 sons and daughter-in-law: Charles and Chrystal Black of Niles, Michigan, and Rob Wood of Arizona;

2 daughters and son-in-law: Patricia Walkden, Kari and Jason Witte, all of Niles;

His mother: Dee Smith of Jonesboro;

1 sister: Gayle Vickers of Jonesboro; and

3 grandchildren: Samantha Husband, Corey Marsh and Cody Marsh.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Robinson officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
