Bobby D. Darr

Bobby D. Darr, 86, of Jonesboro, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020, at his home.

Born in Brookland, Bobby was a 1954 graduate of Lake City High School and later moved to Jonesboro where he lived most of his life. He was retired from General Electric in Jonesboro and was a member of Central Baptist Church where he was a member of the Wisdom Seekers Sunday school class.

Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family at Lake Norfork. For many years he enjoyed working in his garden. He loved God, loved his family and loved making people laugh. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Earl and Annie Darr, 3 brothers: Robert, Paul and Bill Darr; 2 sisters: Jane Darr Strickland and Doris Darr Croft; and 2 half sisters: Dean Mundchnenk and Vivian Howell.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Norma Harris Darr of the home;

1 son and daughter-in-law, Kevin D. and Staci Darr of Jonesboro;

1 daughter, Cindy Crawford of Judsonia;

1 sister, Lucy Darr Winford of Jonesboro;;

4 grandchildren: Candace Crawford, Travis Crawford (Sarah), Tyler Darr and Tanner Darr; and

his canine companion, "Bo Jingles."

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Larry Bailey officiating. Private burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 1-2 pm in the Chapel.

Active pallbearers include Rick Carter, Gerry Darr, Rick Strickland, Brad Carner, Brian Strickland and Jonothan Crafton.

Honorary pallbearers include Butch Roberts, John Badsky, Dr. Larry McNamara and Joe Carner.
