Bobby Dean “Laughing Bob” Birdsell, 68, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born February 3, 1957 in Jonesboro to the late C.B. and Aline Birdsell.

Bobby was of the Pentecostal belief. He worked for Haywood, Kenward, Bare and Associates for 15 years before joining Hytrol, where he retired after 20 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Bobby enjoyed car racing, motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons, blues music and attending blues festivals.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Kiplinger and Katherine Morris.

Survivors include his stepdaughter, Andrea (Rickey) Stowers of Hoxie; stepson, John (Christy) Tacker of Brookland; brother, Bill Birdsell of Jonesboro; sister, Hazel Kennedy of Cordova, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Cole Tacker, Katie Tacker, Austin Stowers, Jackson Stowers and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
