Bobby Joe Aycock, 62, of Lake City, Arkansas, died Sunday morning October 5, 2008, at his home. He had lived his life in Lake City and was of the Baptist belief. Bobby Joe enjoyed hunting and woodworking and was a member of the Lake City Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Ingram and Joseph P. Aycock.
Bobby Joe was survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda Aycock, of the home; daughters, Kim Sneed, Monette, Arkansas; Lynn Tucker, Lake City; Vanessa Hafer and her husband Matthew, Dixie, Arkansas; and Miranda Denton of the home; one brother, Delmer Maple, Lake City; grandchildren Jacey Sneed, Jessica Tucker, Bradley Tucker, Kerra Tucker, Jaycee Hawkins, Dylan Hafer, Ethan Hafer, Abigail Hafer; nieces Holly Atkinson and Kim Cagle; nephews, Michael Corter and Robert Corter.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Lake City with Brother Sean Milliken and Brother Larry Owens officiating and burial to follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Wayne Malone, Jackie Davis, John Varner, Michael Corter, Robert Corter, James Hafer, Jon Milligan and Donald Hood. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Lake City Yacht Club. Visitation will be from 6-8 Monday night at the Lake City First Baptist Church.
