Bobby Joe Adams, 86, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, September 13, 2018 at his home. He was born to the late Carra Mae Graham Bowen on March 21, 1932 in Paragould.
Bobby has lived in Jonesboro since the 1960’s, after coming from Paragould.
Early on in Bobby’s life he ran pinball machines and juke boxes. In 61 he bought the Jami Bee Motel and sold it around 68 and started City Rural Electric shortly after, then closed in 1986. He was President of family business Adams Security Alarm Systems, Inc from 1991 until after turn of century.
In addition to his mother, Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Nona Adams, son, Derek Adams, daughter, Randy Adams.
Bobby is survived in death by his son, Todd Adams of Jonesboro, half brother, John Bowen of Paragould, grandchildren, Graham Adams and Brittany White, and great grandchildren, Nora and Charlie White.
A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow visitation at 2 p.m. with Kenneth O’Connell officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with active pallbearers being: Lance Pickering, Roger Watkins, Jay Lawson, Andrew Weaver, Jeff Whitlatch, and David Caradine.
