Robert Earl “Bob” Seale, 83, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on May 15, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born to Russell and Mary Seale on February 22, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Bob graduated from L. Frazier Banks High School in Birmingham in 1961 and later attended Auburn University. He served as a medic in the Alabama National Guard from 1965 to 1971. In 1975, Bob and his family relocated to Northeast Arkansas.
Bob was active in his church and faithfully served in several roles, including deacon and elder. He was also a dedicated leader in the Boy Scouts, where he enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his sons. Bob worked in the automobile business for most of his adult life and genuinely enjoyed meeting and helping people.
Above all, Bob loved his family deeply and treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He especially enjoyed family gatherings, where he could often be found at the grill, cooking for those he loved. A devoted Auburn fan, Bob enjoyed cheering on Auburn football and rarely missed an opportunity to support his team.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Elliott Seale; his parents, Russell Floyd Seale and Mary Lavelle Durham Seale; and his daughter, Brooke Seale Landrum.
Bob is survived by four children: Jon (Jennifer) Seale of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Spencer (Kim) Seale of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Meg (Ryan) Jose of Hernando, Mississippi; and Hannah (Saxon) Berry of Bryant, Arkansas; and by his son-in-law, Jon Landrum of Jonesboro. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
