Bobby “Bob” Parham, 87, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born to the late William and Wardie Parham on August 16, 1933 in Armorel, Arkansas. Bob served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Colson Casters as a computer programmer before retiring after 37 years of service. Bob was very active in his church, Central Baptist Church, serving as an usher and sharing his love of Christ. Family was one of the most important aspects of Bob’s life. He loved watching his grandchildren play ball and being at family gatherings, visiting with all his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Parham; two brothers; and one sister.
Bob is survived by his son, David Parham (Melissa) of Jonesboro; Daughter, Amy Gibson (Shawn) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Lindsey Propst (Clayton), Jessica Parham, Ethan Gibson, and Tyler Parham; and great grandchildren, Andrew Parham and Lacy Propst. Bob also leaves behind special family members, Glen and Cecelia Parham, Monty and Tricia Young, and Bart Young.
The visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m.
The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 8, 2021 at Central Baptist Church with Mike Martin and Larry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Tyler Parham, Ethan Gibson, Clayton Propst, Glen Parham, Monty Young, and Bart Young.
